Is The Nurtured Plate Right for You?
If Mealtimes Feel Exhausting, You’re Not Alone
Many parents come to The Nurtured Plate feeling frustrated, worried, and unsure what to do next.
Maybe you’ve tried encouraging bites, negotiating, making separate meals, hiding foods, offering rewards, or following advice that worked for someone else’s child but not yours.
You may be wondering:
✓ Why is my child so picky?
✓ Will they ever eat more than a handful of foods?
✓ Am I doing something wrong?
✓ Why does every meal feel like a battle?
✓ Should I be worried about their nutrition?
The truth is that picky eating is rarely just about food.
For some children, sensory differences make certain foods feel overwhelming. For others, eating is tied to anxiety, past experiences, a need for control, limited exposure, or developmental skills that are still emerging.
When you begin to understand what may be driving your child’s eating patterns, you can stop guessing and start responding in ways that better support them.
The Nurtured Plate will help you understand the “why” behind your child’s eating, reduce mealtime stress, and build a positive relationship with food, one small step at a time.
THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN AGES 2 - 6 WHO:
eat a limited variety of foods
refuse entire food groups
become upset when new foods are offered
prefer the same foods prepared the same way
struggle with sensory differences around food
have mealtimes that feel stressful, frustrating, or exhausting
want practical strategies without pressure, bribing, or power struggles
YOU DON’T NEED TO KNOW WHY YOUR CHILD IS STRUGGLING WITH FOOD. THE NURTURED PLATE WILL HELP YOU BETTER UNDERSTAND WHAT MAY BE BEHIND THEIR EATING CHALLENGES AND WHAT TO DO NEXT.

This program may not be the best fit if:
• Your child has significant swallowing difficulties or medical feeding concerns that require specialized treatment
• Your child needs intensive feeding therapy services
• You are looking for a quick fix or immediate results
Meaningful progress happens through small, consistent steps, and those steps can make a lasting difference.
Why I Created The Nurtured Plate
Hi, I'm Aimee Falavolito, founder of The Nurtured Tree.
For almost 30 years, I've worked with children and families navigating feeding challenges, sensory differences, communication delays, behavior concerns, and the everyday ups and downs of parenting. As an Early Childhood Development Specialist, I've supported hundreds of families in creating practical solutions that work in real life, not just in theory.
Over the years, I've seen how stressful mealtimes can become when parents are worried about nutrition, frustrated by food refusal, or unsure of what to try next. I created The Nurtured Plate to provide families with a clear, supportive roadmap that helps take the guesswork out of feeding challenges.
This program combines evidence-informed strategies with practical tools that fit into everyday family life. The goal isn’t perfection at the table. It's helping you reduce stress, build confidence, and create positive experiences around food one step at a time.
